A RARE TUMOR OF THE ORAL MUCOSA, MYOPERICYTOMA: CASE REPORT

Myopericytoma (MPC) is defined as a benign mesenchymal neoplasm consisting mostly of oval spindle-shaped myoid-like cells with perivascular growth. Apart from being rare lesion in all anatomical regions the body, it extremely oral and maxillofacial region only limited number cases have been reported literature. We present here case MPC 42-year-old female patient who had painless, enlarging anterior mandible. Intraoral examination revealed smooth, nonwhite, pedunculated, fibrotic, nonbleeding lingual aspect Histopathologic tumor spherical/nodular structures composed spindle hemangioperistomatous vascular form staghorn. These showed no signs malignancy. On immunohistochemical examination, were positive for CD34 SMA. SMA Protein was also focally nodular formed by stroma. S-100 protein negative lesion.
